Summary:
• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• Document’s inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste;
inputting data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Two years of College degree is preferred or some Technical school education with six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge in Excel, Word, Quality Audits and Oracle is a Plus
Physical Demands:
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
