Job Description

Are you a Senior or Lead Quality Engineer who has led a team of quality professionals but still enjoys being hands on? Our client manufacturer precision engineering parts for the aerospace and power sector and due to growth, are looking for a Quality Engineering Team Leader on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have worked within a highly regulated industry, ideally aerospace or power with strong experience and knowledge of product quality.

Quality Engineering Team Leader

Job Description

• Responsible for for leading a team of 5, providing clear direction, mentoring and day-to-day support.
• Participate in all key quality processes including Material Review Boards, scrap analysis, right-first-time initiatives, rework assessments, non-conformance reports, concessions, First Article Inspections and problem-solving.
• Point of contact for customer quality matters, ensuring that expectations are met and manage customer concerns.
• Drive root cause analysis, lead the implementation of corrective actions, and support audits and approvals.
• Ensure all quality documentation, systems and processes comply with internal standards and customer requirements. Maintain and improve control plans, inspection procedures, and quality records.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a Senior Quality Engineer or Team Leader/Supervisor position
• Previously worked within the aerospace or power industry
• Strong experience and knowledge of product quality (NCR’s, problem-solving, root-cause analysis etc)
• Confident dealing with customers
