Job Description

Infinity Employment are seeking FAIRS Engineers to work on behalf of our Industry leading client, specialising in providing Engineering Solutions to various sectors. You will be responsible for fully supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance to company policies, system procedures, work instructions and specifications. Driving improvements, the Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations.\n\nThis contract will be based in Wolverhampton for a 6-12month rolling contract, highly likely to be extended.

Must have an aerospace background and experience within a manufacturing environment. For the right candidates, more contracts will follow. £26 p/h LTD (Outside IR35 ) Early finish on a Friday.\n\nPrincipal Responsibilities:\n\n * Ensure the timely completion of 8Ds including the implementation of corrective actions\n\n * Completion of FAIR Overcheck Inspections in accordance with quality right first-time expectations.\n\n * Completion of FAIR Overcheck Inspections in support of timing plans\n\n * Productivity and cost reduction improvements\n\n * Timely supply of product to our customers\n\n * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.\n\nExperience:\n\n * Qualified FAIRs Technician\n\n * Knowledge of aerospace quality management systems (AS9100 Revision D )\n\n * Knowledge of FAIR Presentation and AS9102 requirements\n\n * Knowledge of compiling a FAIR, raising balloon drawings, use of Visual FAIR and overcheck requirements\n\n * Knowledge of customer approvals and specifications (most notably Airbus and GKN Rolls Royce)\n\n * CAP ( Aerospace and defence contractors Accreditation Program)\n\n * Knowledge of the special processes used in the manufacture of aerospace and systems detailed parts (e.g.

NDT, chemical processing, welding, heat treatment etc.) and the NAD Familiar with batch / route card system, Mill cert information (composition / Temper, and Machining etc)\n\n * Strong interpersonal skills / influencing and team skills\n\n * Knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies (i.e. APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Control Plans, Capability Studies, six Sigma, Kaizen, Configuration Management, Risk Management, Total Quality Management, Total Quality Management (TQM), Quality Assurance, Poke Yoke, etc.)\n\n * Good project management skills\n\n * Knowledge of problem analysis methodologies (i.e. 8D, Ishikawa, 5- why, DoE, DMAIC, etc.) and decision-making skills\n\n * Excellent IT Skills
