We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Wellingborough. This is a varied and autonomous role where you'll play a key part in improving production quality, developing and maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday - Friday (role flexibility available)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Duties:

- \n
- Develop, write, and maintain quality-related documentation, including SOPs and inspection procedures
- Analyse production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance and consistency
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all quality systems meet required standards
- Produce and interpret data reports to drive quality performance improvements
- Assist in staff training on quality procedures and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and product quality

The ideal candidate must:
\n
- \n
- Have proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally within plastics extrusion or similar sectors
- Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering
- Have a strong understanding of quality management systems and process control\n
- Possess excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Have experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation management\n
- Be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively across departments
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software would be beneficial
