Quality Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing
Location: Vonore, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Onsite
Compensation: 80K+
Overview
A leading global automotive manufacturer is hiring a Quality Engineer to support plant quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure customer satisfaction. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do
Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions
Support IATF 16949 / ISO audits and maintain compliance
Monitor KPIs (PPM, scrap, rework) and drive improvements
Review and approve PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and engineering changes
Partner with production, engineering, customers, and suppliers on quality issues
Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing (automotive )
Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
Experience with IATF 16949 standards
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Experience in machining, bearings, or metal manufacturing
Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
OEM customer experience
