The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of inspections and tests to ensure products meet established quality standards. This includes conducting electrical inspections, paint inspections, assembly inspections and other related quality checks
Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical, paint, and assembly inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Track and document non-conformities and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of non-conformities, inspection reports, and other quality related items.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
- Perform visual inspections and use measurement tools to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Assist in the preparation of quality reports and documentation.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Write work instructions for work to be performed in production.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and visual awareness.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and familiarity with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical inspections.
- Some mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with paint inspection techniques and standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment.
- Exposure to noise, insulation, dust, and temperature variations in the shop area.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during inspections.
