Quality Engineer in Seascale

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a highly regulated engineering and infrastructure environment on an 18-month fixed-term contract based at Sellafield , a major nuclear facility in Cumbria. Working on complex engineering projects, you will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance standards, supporting project delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across quality management systems and documentation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review and maintain Inspection & Test Plans ( ITPs ), ensuring quality verification activities are clearly defined and implemented.Manage and review Lifetime Quality Records ( LTQR s), quality documentation, and project compliance records to ensure full traceability.Conduct internal audits, quality surveillances, and support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System ( QMS ).Review subcontractor quality documentation, manage Non-Conformance Reports ( NCR s), and implement corrective actions.Support project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards and regulatory requirements.Requirements:CSWIP 3.1 certifiedPCN Level 2 certifiedExperience with ITPs, LTQRs, NCRs, QMS improvements.Heavy Steel Fabrication and/or Nuclear experience desirable.Salary: £50k package - £45,000 per annum + circa £5k allowancesDuration: 18 months Fixed Term Contract, with strong potential to turn permanent.Full TimeMonday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:30pmFriday: 7:00am - 1:00pmBenefits: Pension, Medical Cover, 25 days + BH, Cycle to Work, Save as you earn scheme, Counselling & Support, further Benefit schemes.Contact DetailsFor further information or to apply, please contact:Jacob GoldingES Recruit - 0161 4166249TPBN1_UKTJ
