Job Description

Quality Engineer – 1 Year Contract | Hybrid | Negotiable Rate | IR35 Unassigned

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a range of high‑integrity engineering projects based in Reading. This role offers a 1‑year contract, hybrid working and a negotiable rate, making it an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to contribute to technically complex and highly regulated programmes.

Due to the sensitive nature of the project, aspiring candidates must meet eligibility criteria for UK Security Clearance

As a Quality Engineer, you will play an important role in delivering QA/QC activities across the full project lifecycle — from kick‑off through to completion. You will review documentation, conduct inspections, support testing activities and ensure all outputs meet stringent quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and accept procedures and documentation in line with QC1 requirements.
• Carry out QC inspections in line with approved ITPs.
• Conduct ongoing reviews and final acceptance of LTRs.
• Perform final release inspections.
• Witness tests and attend relevant project meetings.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in Quality Engineering and/or QC Inspection.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, documentation and site-based quality activities.
• Ability to manage quality activities across the project lifecycle.
