Quality Engineer\n\nA Quality Engineer is needed for a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing business supplying into a highly regulated sector. They are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality capability and support continued growth, improvements, new customer demand, and future site expansion plans. This is an exciting time to join.\n\nThis is a hands-on role with a strong presence on the shop floor, focused on improving processes, solving problems, and ensuring products meet strict regulatory and customer standards.\n\nWhat This Quality Engineer Role Offers\n\n * Opportunity to take ownership of quality improvement activities across the site and process capability projects\n\n * Exposure to regulated industries, including medical devices\n\n * Visibility across production, engineering, and senior leadership teams\n\nRole Overview\n\nThis role is focused on driving improvements across machining and manufacturing processes, supporting compliance, and resolving customer and internal quality issues.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Maintain a strong shop floor presence, supporting machining and production processes\n\n * Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and DMAIC\n\n * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework\n\n * Analyse data to identify trends and improve process capability\n\n * Apply statistical methods such as SPC, Cp/Cpk, and MSA\n\n * Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements\n\n * Support internal and external audits\n\n * Improve SOPs, documentation, and the wider QMS\n\n * Support customer issue resolution and improve overall performance\n\nRequirements\n\n * Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within manufacturing\n\n * Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach\n\n * Experience with statistical tools (SPC, Minitab or equivalent)\n\n * Knowledge of ISO 13485 (, but not essential)\n\n * Background in precision engineering, machining, or regulated industries beneficial\n\n * Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders\n\nBenefits & Package\n\n * 39-hour working week\n\n * Opportunity for career progression as the business grows\n\n * Exposure to major improvement and site development projects\n\nIf you are an experienced Quality Engineer looking for a role where you can make a tangible impact on manufacturing performance and quality standards, please apply
