We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer for a global manufacturing company. In this role, you will champion product quality, drive compliance, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures for manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent product conformance to specifications and regulatory standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.).
  • Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams, then implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead continuous process improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and optimize production workflows.
  • Perform internal audits, process validations, and supplier quality evaluations while collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Analyze quality data (SPC charts, yield reports, scrap trends) to identify improvement opportunities and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as First Pass Yield, DPPM, and Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by reviewing designs for manufacturability and establishing robust quality plans.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Participate in customer audits and represent the Quality function in problem-solving discussions.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of continuous process improvement tools – Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Proficient in quality tools and software (Minitab, ERP systems, statistical process control).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
