Position Summary

The Quality Engineer – Customer Liaison serves as theprimary point of contactfor resolving customer quality concerns. This role champions the resolution of external issues, supports the resolution of internal issues, and proactively drives manufacturing quality performance. Key activities include problem-solving, corrective and preventive actions, training, auditing, and participating in quality planning to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

Champion the Resolution of External Quality Concerns: 60%

Resolve Internal Quality Concerns: 25%

Proactively Drive Manufacturing Quality Performance:15%

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Quality, or Engineering , or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience with quality systems, audits, and structured problem-solving .

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., Plex).
• Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint).
• Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Understanding of metrology, gaging, SPC, DOE, and Minitab.
• Experience with quality tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• APQP, PFMEA, PPAP experience.
• Knowledge of stamping processes.
• Auditing experience (IATF, internal, layered) and internal auditor certification.
• Familiarity with customer-specific requirements, including portals and scorecards.
