Quality Engineer
Fredericktown, OH
STRATEGIC SUMMARY:
Support and assist new model activity, develop, implement and support quality assurance systems designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Provide leadership and support to associates assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.
TACTICAL SUMMARY:
- Act as liaison with customer for all items pertaining to quality
- Lead new model communication meeting with customer for information sharing
- Lead new model internal communication meetings with other departments
- Establish quality system development plan and tracking to assure compliance of customer requirements for standards and timing
- Gather, verify and submit required measurement data as per each new model schedule
- Lead internal audits, record findings and report cause / countermeasures as required
- Support customer process quality audits and complete follow up activity through report closure
- Develop quality information presentations for company Officers and Customer
- Develop Process Quality Control Table (PQCT) and quality check sheets
- Lead supply part quality development and approval activity
- Maintain customer event quality trouble tracking throughout project
- Perform established N+3 activities during the initial startup period
- All other assigned duties
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education
- Technical Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education
2. Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance in manufacturing industry.
3. Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- PLEX
4. Personal/Other Skills
- Oral and written communication skills, decent interpersonal skills as well as organizational abilities.
- Able to manage a project with minimal assistance to achieve milestones and project
- goals.
- Some process knowledge of the manufacturing areas covered.
- Some knowledge of the materials, i.e.: production/quality/reporting forms, visual boards, etc.
- Positive attitude and approach in a changing environment.
