Wipro Givon USA has an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team. This position analyzes manufacturing planning to determine compliance with customer-required specifications and evaluates outside suppliers to ensure that quality standards are in compliance.

Abilities - Are you a good fit:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer and four years of Quality Engineering experience with the aerospace industry
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processing, standard auditing procedures, and statistical process control.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Ability to use and interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence and communicate effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • The ability to sit or stand for at least 8 hours a day.
  • The ability to occasionally required to walk; and stoop, crouch, or crawl.
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily:

  • Conducts audits of manufacturing processes to ensure that all quality standards are fully documented.
  • Researches and verifies products returned from the customer.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all rework methods and criteria meet customer requirements and specifications and have been documented correctly.
  • Acts as a liaison between Quality, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine appropriate corrective action for internal and external nonconforming products.
  • Evaluates corrective actions and trend analysis data in order to coordinate and implement appropriate preventive action.
  • Acts as a liaison with customer engineering and representatives as necessary.
  • Develops reports used for the analysis of required corrective action for circumstances where defect rates are excessive.
  • Ensures all manufacturing planning is completed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Approves outside suppliers of raw materials based on established criteria.
  • Prepares Quality Assurance operation instructions, procedures, policies, guidelines, and manuals.
  • Audits internal systems to determine the effectiveness of corrective action measures.
  • Implements calibration activities to obtain minimum variances.
  • Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Confers with supervisor when problems arise, which impact expected level of performance.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Must contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
