Now Hiring: Quality Engineer (Electronics Assembly)
ASL Technical are delighted to be supporting a well-established electronics design, test and manufacturing company with over 30 years of success and a growing international customer base. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Quality professional from an electronics assembly environment to make a real impact within an innovative and forward-thinking organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality team and working closely with Production, you’ll help ensure that all products meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards. You’ll evaluate processes, identify and resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Establishing and maintaining quality benchmarks and procedures
Conducting internal and external audits in line with ISO9001
Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Supporting Goods Inwards and Outwards inspection processes
Monitoring calibration schedules and ensuring compliance
Analysing quality data to identify trends and improvements
Collaborating with design and production teams to enhance quality throughout product lifecycles
About You
Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within an electronics assembly or manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of ISO9001 standards and quality management systems
Experience using quality tools such as 8D and PFMEA
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ideally qualified to HNC/HND level (or equivalent) in Engineering or Quality Assurance
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards would be an advantage
