Quality Engineer in DY7

Owen Daniels are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established quality team.\nThis role will suit a quality professional with strong customer-facing experience and a proven background managing quality activities from new product introduction through to series production. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers, driving quality improvements and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead customer quality activities and act as the main point of contact for quality-related issues.\nSupport APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle.\nPrepare and submit PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements.\nInvestigate quality concerns using structured problem-solving techniques and implement corrective actions.\nConduct internal and external quality audits.\nReview engineering drawings and specifications, applying strong GD&T knowledge.\nWork closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the business.The Candidate:\n\nExperience in a Quality Engineer position within automotive manufacturing.\nStrong front-end/customer quality experience.\nGood working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Core Tools.\nStrong understanding of GD&T and interpretation of engineering drawings.\nExperience of 8D, Root Cause Analysis and corrective action processes.\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 would be advantageous.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business offering a varied and challenging role, a supportive working environment and genuine opportunities for career development.\nTo apply, please submit your CV for immediate consideration
