Quality Engineer in Derby

We are looking for an experience Quality Engineer to join a fast growing team. What we're looking for: Keen eye for details; ensuring that products and incoming materials meet quality standards Great customer service Confidence to identify and raise quality issues Capability to work in a team environment, as well as working independently Quality / Engineering background Experience in Root Cause tools (ideally 8D knowledge) Audit Experience AS9100 Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace Experience of working in Quality Assurance Responsibilities: Follow compliance Communication with customers, supplier and 3rd Parties using internal or their specified documents Manage customer returns Liaise with production team where required to feedback any quality issues (both internal and external) Interpret and understand engineer drawings and other relevant technical documents Writing / amending of procedures and/or work instructions as required Carry out Internal audits to AS9100/AS13100 Investigate into root cause of non-conforming product; 8D problem solving Calibration Control via Gagepack database, calibrated gauges, instruments, CMMs, oven controls and surveys through 3rd party calibration suppliers Skills & Qualifications: Business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree If not the above, then A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 4 or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification Computer literate Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-12pm Friday or 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-1pm Friday
