Quality Engineer

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Overview

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced IATF 16949 Specialist to support and enhance its quality management systems. This role will play a critical part in maintaining compliance, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement across operations and supplier networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and related quality requirements
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, documentation, and performance metrics to identify non-conformances and improvement opportunities
• Develop comprehensive audit reports, including findings, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams and suppliers on IATF standards and quality best practices
• Support ongoing certification efforts and compliance initiatives
• Stay current on industry regulations, standards, and evolving compliance requirements
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across operations

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Advanced degree

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience conducting IATF 16949 audits in a manufacturing or automotive environment
• Strong background in quality systems, auditing, and compliance

• 10+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing
• Experience working with metal, steel, or heavy manufacturing processes
