Job Description

Quality Engineer \nCoventry \nUp to £40,000 P/ a \n \nOverview \nWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, international engineering manufacturer based in Coventry. The role will play a key part in maintaining quality standards, driving compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across production operations. \nThis is a hands-on position suited to someone comfortable working closely with Production and Engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

There is a clear scope for progression for the right candidate. \n \nKey Responsibilities \nQuality Control & Compliance \n- Conduct inspections of raw materials, components, assembled modules and pipe spools. \n- Verify product compliance against technical specifications, engineering drawings and applicable standards.

\n- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and relevant industry requirements. \n \nNon-Conformance Management \n- Identify, document and manage internal and supplier non-conformances. \n- Lead root cause analysis activities using 8D, 5 Whys or similar structured methodologies.

\n- Define, implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). \n \nManufacturing Process Support \n- Work closely with Production, Engineering and H&S to maintain robust and safe processes. \n- Review and update Work Instructions, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection plans and quality procedures.

\n- Support process validation activities and approval of new materials or suppliers. \n \nDocumentation & Reporting \n- Prepare quality reports, KPIs and trend analysis. \n- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with audit requirements.

\n- Support internal and external audits as required. \n \nContinuous Improvement \n- Identify opportunities to optimise processes and reduce waste. \n- Promote and embed a strong quality culture within the Off-Site Fabrication team.

\n \nTechnical Requirements \n- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, dimensional control and metrology. \n- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. \n- Experience with Lean tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.

\n- Desirable: Experience with welding, steel structures or mechanical fixings
