6 Month Contract
Are you seeking a contract Quality Engineer position? This is your chance to work with a forward-thinking organisation as where you'll play a pivotal role in driving quality excellence and establishing some best practice processes for a changing business. Working within a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, contributing to the development of world-class products in a six month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the implementation of effective quality processes within the manufacturing value stream, ensuring world-class standards are met.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust process controls to support product and process quality.
- Drive continuous quality performance improvements by analysing manufacturing data and identifying solutions.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for customer quality concerns and implement corrective actions using methodologies such as Process FMEA, 8D and DMAIC.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes, collaborating across teams to ensure compliance and standardisation.
- Manage and resolve supplier quality issues and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Bring:
- Significant experience in a manufacturing environment managed under AS9100 Rev D or ISO9001 standards.
- Proficiency in quality management tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on driving operational excellence.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
