Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager by leading structured problem solving, customer complaint resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume, high-mix automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving quality performance, reducing risk, and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. This is a 100% onsite position.

Requirements of the Quality Engineer

  • 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Experience with IATF 16949 () or ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Strong experience with 8D problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and quality documentation
  • Experience supporting internal, customer, and supplier audits
  • Experience with automotive core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans)
  • Experience with metrology equipment is a plus

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer

  • Lead customer complaint investigations and drive resolution using 8D methodology
  • Support and participate in internal, customer, and supplier audits, including closing findings
  • Disposition nonconforming material and support scrap and rework reduction efforts
  • Lead containment activities and define clean points throughout the production process
  • Update PFMEAs and Control Plans to reflect process changes and risk mitigation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce internal and customer PPM
  • Assist with process improvements across manufacturing operations, including fine blanking and secondary processes
  • Conduct process audits and support quality system compliance
  • Collaborate with production, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions

Full-Time, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $85,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience
