Quality Engineer Opportunity\n\nLodestone Recruitment is currently working with a well-established company based in Bradford, who is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nThis is a hands on role leading team undertaking quality inspection to ensure the conformity of various parts through their manufacturing process. You'll be taking a lead role in programming CMM and reporting to the Product Quality Manager.\n\nThis is a brilliant opportunity to join a well established company with plenty of development opportunities.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the inspection team, coordinating batch inspection, first off inspection and stage inspection /data collection priorities.\n\nLead programming of CMM and GMM measuring equipment. (Wenzel Revo training will be given)\n\nEvaluate inspection results, escalate issues to the Product Quality Manager where required.\n\nIncoming goods, first off, intermediate and final inspection of gears, shafts and gearbox components in order to identify, and isolate, any non-conforming material or parts.\n\nSupport the Product Quality Manager duties, be comfortable communicating with Customers, have the ability and desire to progress along a Product Quality career path.\n\nUse of micrometers, air gauges, bowers micrometers, height gauges, plug guages, etc to measure dimensions and form\n\nUse of chemical etching process to identify grinding burn, use of MPI (to level II)and ultrasonic equipment to identify cracking.
Surface finish checking, visual inspection, roll testing, and various other processes to evaluate the quality attributes of a precison ground gear.\n\nCommunicate inspection information with production operators to assist in set-up or operation of machines.\n\nCreation of inspection documentation, parts labelling and records. This includes some PC work involving spreadsheets and databases.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nExperience of CMM operation and programming.\n\nAbility to use inspection equipment and interpret inspection data (GMM data in the case of gear grinding)\n\nUndersatnd FAIR, PPAP, APQP, NCR, SPC etc\n\nGood abliity to understand engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing\n\nPay & Shift Details:\n\n39 Hour Working Week\n\nMonday - Thursday 07:00 to 16:00, Friday 07:00 to 12:00\n\n£18.34 - £19.43 per Hour (DOE)\n\nOvertime available T1/2\n\nWhat You Need To Do\n\nTo be considered for this Quality Engineer position role please click ‘apply now’ for immediate consideration.\n\nLodestone Recruitment Ltd are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy
