Quality Engineer\n Bournemouth\n Quality Engineer salary: £39,500 – £45,250\n Please note: only applicants with the full-time, permanent right to work in the UK will be considered.\n \nQuality Engineer Overview:\n\nSupport the Quality Manager to keep the QMS strong and audit-ready in a regulated environment\nDrive NCR control end-to-end, using root cause and corrective action to prevent repeat issues\nPrioritise inspection workload with production to protect on-time delivery\nBuild and submit customer quality packs, including FAIRs where required\nSupport supplier quality activity, audits, and improvement projects across the businessThis Quality Engineer role reports to the Quality Manager and is designed to strengthen day-to-day quality control, audit readiness and continuous improvement across a precision manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer will help maintain and improve the Quality Management System, support investigations into non-conformance, assist internal and external audits, and provide practical quality support across production, engineering and operations. This Quality Engineer position suits someone detail-focused, methodical, and comfortable working across departments to keep product and process conformity on track.\n \nDay-to-day responsibilities of a Quality Engineer\n\nSupport the Quality Manager with ongoing maintenance and improvement of the quality system and certification requirements\nWork with the inspection lead and production management to prioritise workload in line with delivery needs\nSupport internal, supplier and customer audits, including preparation, actions and follow-up to closure\nOwn and support NCR activity: containment, investigation, root cause, corrective/preventive actions, and documentation close-out\nSupport customer documentation packs and right-first-time submissions, including FAIR activity where required\nSupport supplier quality assurance, including performance monitoring, reporting and supplier audit support\nContribute to continuous improvement projects focused on quality, consistency and prevention\nHelp train and coach inspection and production staff on quality standards, procedures and good practice\nProvide day-to-day quality support to production, engineering and operations teams \nWhat they’re looking for - Quality Engineer\n\nQuality Engineer or Quality Technician experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing setting\nComfortable working in a regulated, certification-driven environment and supporting audit activity\nConfident reading engineering drawings/specifications and applying requirements correctly\nHands-on experience with structured problem-solving and root cause methods\nStrong admin and reporting discipline, able to work cleanly with quality systems and data\nGood communication skills, able to work across production, inspection and management\nMethodical approach with strong attention to detail and follow-throughDesirable - Quality Engineer\n\nExposure to Nadcap-style audit expectations and special process oversight\nUnderstanding of fabrication/welding and CNC machining environments\nAwareness of welding qualifications and quality controls around welded work \nWhat’s on offer - Quality Engineer\nQuality Engineer salary: £39,500 – £45,250\nA Quality Engineer role with broad exposure across audits, NCR control, customer packs and day-to-day shopfloor quality support.\n 39-hour week with an early finish on Fridays, plus overtime paid at time and a half after basic hours.\n 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free on-site parking, cycle to work, and death in service pension.\nCore hours are 07:30–16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30–12:30 on Fridays.\n \nHow to apply for the Quality Engineer position\nIf you’re interested in this Quality Engineer role, send over your CV and we’ll talk through the details.\n Call or message Hayden at Holt Engineering on (phone number removed)
