Quality Engineer | $80k in Claremore
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKey Personnel is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing company in the Claremore, OK area.
Quality Engineer Salary: $80,000+ DOE
Quality Engineer Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent product quality.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify defects, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze process and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; recommend and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and control quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, reports, and records.
- Conduct internal audits, process audits, and product inspections to evaluate effectiveness and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain—to resolve quality issues and improve performance.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Report quality performance metrics to management and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, preferably AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015.
- Proven knowledge of Quality Systems in a Manufacturing environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility and navigate stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to visually inspect products and review hard-copy engineering and customer specifications.
- Occasional travel may be required.
