Quality Engineer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAdecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturing client to find a full-time Quality Engineer for their plant located just south of Chattanooga, TN. (Dalton area) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve quality or production issues
  • Develop and maintain inspection standards for service parts
  • Investigate customer complaints, resolve supplier quality and internal audit issues.
  • Lead quality activities, including FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and failure analysis
  • Support internal, customer, and IATF audits; lead audit readiness efforts
  • Provide support to Quality Technicians and other staff as needed
  • Track and report monthly internal and external PPM metrics; identify trends and support corrective actions
  • Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement efforts and monitor KPIs (e.g., scrap reduction, first-pass yield)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar quality role
  • Strong knowledge of inspection equipment & quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA)
  • Experience with ERP, QMS, MES, or other integrated manufacturing and quality systems
  • Automotive manufacturing background strongly

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
