Quality Engineer

Role Overview



A Quality Engineer is sought by a leading engineering services provider in manufacturing, defence, and nuclear sectors. The role focuses on ensuring quality in the design, fabrication, and testing of process piping systems and pressure vessels, with strict adherence to industry standards.



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Documentation, ITP,s, NDT procedures, pressure testing, and compliance with ASME, BS EN ISO, ISO 9001, and PED standards.



Key Responsibilities



Promote a strong quality culture across the business.

Develop and implement quality procedures and standards.

Support production teams with quality-related issues.

Manage technical documentation and compliance (ASME, ISO 9001, PED).

Conduct audits, pressure tests, and manage inspection records.

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

Provide training and support for quality standards and best practices.



Requirements



Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

3-5 years' experience in fabrication or pressure vessel quality roles.

Strong knowledge of ASME, ISO 9001, PED, and related standards.

Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and documentation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
