SUMMARY

Thisroleprovidestechnical,supervisionandconsultationserviceforthedesign,andengineering,manufacturingandqualitydepartmentstoassurethatproductscanbemanufacturedutilizingcurrentandnewtechniquestoensurefirsttimecapabilitiesanddesignintentaremet.Achievethecompanycommitmentofsuperiorpartqualityandreliability.

• Thoroughknowledgeofthequalitysystemandapplyitdaily
• Providetechnicalliaisonservicesbetweenmanufacturingandqualityonallmattersrelatingtoqualitysystems,procedures,direction,processes,includingQualityAssuranceimplementationandMaintenance.
• Responsibleforactivitiesrelatedtotheidentification,trackingandresolvingofallqualityproblems.
• ProvidetechnicalliaisonandconsultationservicesforManufacturing,Engineering,SalesandPurchasingtoassureeffectivecommunication,coordinationandinteraction.
• Evaluateanddevelopqualityrequirementsandmaintainworldclasstechnologicaladvancements.
• Evaluateengineeringdesignstoassurethattheengineeringdirectioniscapableofassuringfirsttimecapabilitywithsuperiorpartquality.
• ResponsibleforAPQP.
• Organizeanddirectinteractionofallcustomercomplaints.Skillandabilitytonavigatethroughcustomerportals.
• Reviewprintsandspecificationstoensurequalityreliabilityrequirements.Trackengineeringchangesthroughthesystem(ECN).
• ReviewandevaluateControlPlansFailureModeandEffectAnalysis,acceptancesampling,etc.(DCP)
• ProvideManufacturingand/orEngineeringwithMetrologyinformation.
• ProvideQualityAssurancepersonnelwithassistanceandtrainingtoensureacceptablequalityperformance.
• Asrequired,trainqualityandmanufacturingpersonnelonuseofnewandexistingequipment.
• Providecapabilitystudiesandprocesspotentialstudies(Cp,Cpk,Minitab).
• Provideadirectlinkwithcompanymanagementandcoordinateforqualityproblemresolutions.
• Participateinallcustomer,external/internalqualityaudits.
• Reviewallsafetyandcriticalcharacteristicswithengineeringtoreachmutualagreementonspecifications.
• Leadprototypeeffortsinareatoassurecustomerrequirementsaremet,pre-productionorders(PPPS).
• DevelopandleadPPAPsonnewandmodifiedproducts.
• AssistqualitymanagertodevelopandimplementandmaintaintheQualitySystem.
• Monitorandassistmanufacturinginprocesscontrolanddevelopment.
• Keeninterestinproductknowledge;knowwhatwemake.
• Leadtheinspectorsandtechnicianswiththequalitysupervisorinperformingannualcapabilitystudies.
• Leadtechnicalcustomersupportandservicefortheassignedaccounts.
• Leadcustomerproblemsolvingeffortsfortheareaassigned.
• DevelopIATFcascadingdocuments(processflow,FMEA,Controlplans,checksheets,etc.)(DCP).
• Supportqualityholdarea,dispositionnon-conformingmaterial.
• Follow-upwithcustomersonproducttrialsandcorrectiveactions.
• UseSPCStatisticalProcessControltocommunicateandmonitordimensionalvariation

QUALIFICATIONS

Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,anindividualmustbeabletoperformeachessentialdutysatisfactorily.Therequirementslistedbelowarerepresentativeoftheknowledge,skilland/orabilitypreferred.Reasonableaccommodationsmaybemadetoenableindividualswithdisabilitiestoperformtheessentialfunctions.

EDUCATIONand/orEXPERIENCE

ABachelorsDegreeinatechnicalfieldorscience,orsimilarequivalentdegreeand/orequivalentexperience.Minimumeight(8)yearsexperienceinthequalityfield,TierOne(BIW-Bodyinwhite).GeneralMotorsandorOEMcustomerexperienceamust.CertifiedIATFinternalauditorandorLeadAuditorisanasset.
