A full-service engineering firm that specializes in Construction Engineering and Construction Inspections is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician! As a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will be responsible for in-the-field testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials. You will use a company-provided vehicle to travel to job sites in the area to perform routine field-testing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receives project schedules and list of needed materials on company iPad
• Reports to work punctually to gather materials and tools needed for each project
• Operates company vehicle to and from job sites
• Introduces yourself to department heads in a professional manner
• Performs field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete
• Reviews site conditions on construction projects and provides recommendations
• Ensures completed work is in accordance with project specifications
• Communicates with staff regarding any concerns and have department heads sign off once the project is completed
• Inputs all notes and data from completed testing into company iPad

Who We’re Looking For

• Prior experience with construction material testing, field testing, and quality control
• Customer service experience is required
• Valid driver license and clean driving record
• Physically able to walk up and down slopes and uneven terrain, work in outdoor environments and conditions, and lift/carry equipment up to 50+ pounds
• Available to work weekends and extended hours (advance notice provided)
• Mathematically inclined
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must poses critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions, be detail oriented, and organized

What You Can Expect

• $18.00 – $20.00/hr, depending on experience
• Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Occasional Saturdays, potential overtime, minimal nights
