Quality Control Mechanical Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for a precision Machine Shop and Sheet Metal Fabrication Company to join our team! 

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical inspection of incoming raw material, parts manufactured and or supplied by outside suppliers. Examine all documents for accuracy to specifications and record all certifications supplied. 
• Participate in daily in process Inspection
• Final Inspection, knowledge of AS9102 requirements.
• Prepare Quality Documentation
• Check Inspection Tools for proper Calibration, Recall Tools for requiring outside calibration
• Assist in Quality Product Planning
• Inspect both Precision Machined parts and Sheet Metal Parts to verify every characteristic using appropriate tools. (100% Quality on every item Shipped) 
• Verify Travelers are Complete and  Management..
• Work Closely with Quality Engineering 

​​Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working in a machine shop environment
• Experience with inspection measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, knowledge of CMM Zeiss Contura a plus
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings of machined components, fabricated parts and assemblies
• Computer skills with knowledge on Discuss, will train right candidate
• Experience performing 1 st piece and in process inspection
• Final Inspection AS9102
• Experience with ERP/MRP/QMS, Pro Shop experience a plus
