Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance procedures are adhered to throughout the production process. This role involves overseeing quality control activities, developing quality management systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in a defense-related environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with the design-build teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Train and mentor staff on quality control practices and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, particularly EM 385-1-1.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks in compliance with DoD requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation, reports, and records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Manager, preferably in a construction or military environment.
- Strong knowledge of EM 385.1.1 and safety compliance regulations.
- Experience with hazard identification and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with Design-Build processes and DoD requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
