Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager - Structures to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control processes for structural projects, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control programs for structural engineering projects
- Lead and mentor a team of quality control specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of structural designs, materials, and construction processes
- Analyze quality control data and prepare comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in structural engineering and quality control
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including procedures, checklists, and training materials
- Participate in client meetings and site visits to address quality-related concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
- Implement and oversee the use of quality control software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control methodologies and techniques within the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality control, preferably in structural engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proven experience leading quality control teams and implementing quality management systems
- In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, structural engineering principles, and industry standards
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in quality control software, CAD programs, and data analysis tools
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Additional Information
Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between $115k - $180k
