Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree, preferably with a major in math or science or equivalent experience in managing a Quality Department.
- The ability to communicate at a level that is sufficient to allow the understanding of written or verbal instructions and job-related technical manuals and to write reports of activities that are understandable to others.
- The ability to apply math and science skills and perform basic statistical calculations.
- Working knowledge of PC based spreadsheet and word processing applications (i.e. MS Word and Excel or equivalent).
- Organization skills to prepare, maintain and review all necessary documents and records.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and strength to perform all physical requirements of the position.
- Vision correctable to "20-20".

Some Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise all Quality Inspectors to insure that all quality and production standards are maintained.
- Interface with customers regarding audits, complaints, specifications and certificates of compliance.
- Prepare 100% inspection report and light transmission tests.
- Review Daily Inspection Reports, Electronic Process Journals (EPJ), and production schedules.
- Promote positive employee relations by motivating, training, evaluating and communicating with employees.
- Attend Priority Meetings prior to and after the shift change to discuss schedule changes, “down” equipment, quality issues and other miscellaneous items.
- Communicate with Quality Inspectors regarding job assignments, specific problems encountered on prior shift(s), quality and safety issues and general business events.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for all manufacturing orders including Product Quality Standards, Quality Cards, Labels, Manufacturing Orders, Product Drawings, Bottle Inspection Reports, etc.
- Maintain and calibrates all instruments/equipment used in the Quality Department.
- Maintain all certificates of analysis/compliance for raw materials.
- Maintain batch records.
- Administer the training program for all Quality Inspectors and back-ups.
- Perform internal plant audits and assist in correcting any deficiencies.
- Jointly conduct root cause analysis and Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions (CAPAs) for all customer complaints. Prepare customer complaint response letters as appropriate.
- Manage pest control program for the plant (satellite locations only).
