A.      Position Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure products and processes meet customer requirements, company standards, and automotive industry regulations. This role oversees quality inspections, corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer quality concerns. The position requires regular visits to customers and suppliers to conduct quality audits, address quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

 

B.      Duties and Responsibilities

·         Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards in compliance with automotive industry requirements.

·         Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality specifications and customer expectations.

·         Establish quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

·         Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality concerns.

·         Visit customer sites to evaluate quality concerns, conduct audits, and provide technical support related to product quality.

·         Coordinate with customers regarding quality requirements, complaints, and corrective actions.

·         Perform supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

·         Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

·         Lead internal and external quality audit

·         Maintain quality documentation, recording and reporting systems

·         Additional duties as needed or assigned

 

C.     Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field .

·         5 years’ Quality Manager experience required

·         Experience in automotive Manufacturing

·         Experience working with measurement devices required

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, are required.

·         Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures

·         Six Sigma, Lean, continuous improvement methodology, certification or experience is .

·         Must be able to manage and develop the QMS system

·         Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills

·         Ability to read technical drawing and specifications 

·         Strong Communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization

·         Has strong attention to details and organizational Skills

·         Decision Making and Problem Solving

·         Must be able to effectively manage a small team, delegate and collaborate effectively

·         Must be authorized to work in the United States

·         Must have valid driver’s license

·         Able to speak a second such as Spanish, Japanese or Korean is plus

·         This position requires local and international travel.

 

D.     Physical Demands

 

·         Ability to stand and extended periods of time

·         Ability to walk through manufacturing facility or production area

·         Must be able to lift 25 pounds and cannot be colorblind.
