Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced In-Process Quality Inspector to perform quality assurance surveillance, inspections, SPC monitoring, and reporting on injection-molded plastic products. This role ensures product conformance to company quality standards in a Clean Room, ISO 9000, and ISO 13485 medical device environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspections of molded products.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Complete Statistical Process Capability studies and generate SPC reports.
  • Inspect, audit, and report using variable and attribute measuring instruments.
  • Determine workmanship standards at the press level.
  • Calibrate tools and linear measuring equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Follow Quality Assurance and SPC procedures.
  • Assist with audits, corrective actions, and advanced inspection planning.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED ().
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an In-Process Inspector in injection molding.
  • Clean Room and medical-related experience .
  • Working knowledge of SPC and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Proficient with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators); CMM experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and production staff.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 environments.
  • Strong technical math skills (Algebra & Trigonometry).
  • Experience in defect recognition, materials, and inspection fundamentals.
