Job Description:

Join a fast-growing food manufacturing company in Monroe, NJ as a 3rd Shift Quality Control Inspector. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for individuals with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for food safety. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet quality and regulatory standards from raw material through final packaging.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards

• Perform line clearance and pre-operational inspections, including ATP swabbing to verify sanitation effectiveness

• Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) such as metal detectors, X-ray machines, and temperature logs

• Verify product labels, lot codes, weights, and overall packaging quality

• Document and report deviations, defects, and non-conformities

• Collect and label product samples for lab testing or quality review

• Support root cause investigations and assist with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

• Maintain clean and safe work practices and follow GMPs, HACCP, and company SOPs

• Communicate effectively with production, sanitation, and QA teams

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Work in cold, warm, and humid environments

• Must be able to stand for long periods, walk throughout the facility, and occasionally sit for paperwork

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, twist, and wear PPE (hairnet, beard net, gloves, safety glasses, earplugs, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• 1+ year of experience in food manufacturing or quality control

• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FDA, or SQF food safety programs is a strong plus

• Good documentation skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and on a rotating 12-hour overnight shift schedule, including weekends and holidays
