Through innovation, science, technology, and maintaining a clear focus on people, we make mobility possible.We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Engineer to join our QC Team at our brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.The role:As Quality Control Engineer , you will proactively pursue continuous quality improvement activities, provide QC engineering/technical support as required. You will develop measurement and CMM capabilities and continually improve the qualitive and quantitative activities throughout the Quality Control Department.Key duties and responsibilities : Producing/interpreting and analysing CMM resultsUsing all other company measuring equipment as part of the verification process of parts as requiredLiaising with all required interfaces in particular Design and Manufacturing Engineering as applicableWorking on your own and as part of a teamWorking to time plans and priorities as agreedCarrying out investigations as requiredAssisting where required in quality improvement with subcontractors and suppliersResponsible for assisting in all department tasks as requiredMaintaining and managing company CMM programmesAssisting in the pursuit of companywide ownership and implementation of quality improvement and corrective action systemsInvestigating new/alternative Methods of InspectionDesign tooling and fixturing as required for new and existing productsCreating CAD models and drawingsReverse engineering of CMM fixtures when requiredLiaising with suppliers (as required) to manufacture fixturesWhat are we looking for?As Quality Control , you will have the following:Key skills and experience: Degree or OMC/HNC equivalentWorking knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485MS Office experience to a minimum of intermediate levelProgramming in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS softwareProgramming Video Measuring Machine (VMM)Good working knowledge of SolidWorks softwareStrong communicator with good interpersonalAnalytical skillsAbility to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supportWhat can we off you?As Quality Control Engineer , you will receive the following:Benefits Competitive salary25 days holiday - increased after service.Option to purchase additional annual leave.PensionOn demand payHealth cash planDiscounted shopping/leisure activity vouchersCycle to work schemeOpportunity to be part of an award-winning organisation with a culture that centres around our core values; courage, learning, integrity, collaboration, and innovationTJBLATCHFORDTPBN1_UKTJ
