Job Description

Job Title: QC Analyst / Quality Chemist

Location: Four Ashes (On-site)

Salary: up to £35,000 (depending on experience)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent (with strong potential to go permanent)

Start Date: ASAP (within 2–3 weeks )

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a QC Analyst / Quality Chemist to join a well-established chemical manufacturing company based in Four Ashes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with laboratory experience, particularly in analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography (GC), to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and investigative analytical testing to ensure product quality
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including GC instruments
• Analyse and interpret data, reporting results accurately
• Support production and other departments with technical queries
• Assist with quality systems, audits, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and site

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (BSc )
• Experience working in a laboratory environment (industry or academic)
• Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) is essential (can be from university for graduates)
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC or other chromatography methods is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Must be based locally or able to commute to Four Ashes
• Available to start within 2–3 weeks
