Quality Control Analyst in Berkeley

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day operations in QC Virology laboratories
• Conduct mycoplasma testing and various virology assays
• Ensuring all testing activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), regulatory guidelines, and safety protocols
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory environment
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and achieve proficiency
• Support method verifications for clinical and commercial products

Skills:

• Experience with Mycoplasma testing, Cell Culture techniques and PCR.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to support and prioritize many diverse activities simultaneously while meeting schedule commitments
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to follow written procedures

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or a related scientific field with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and/or in a GMP environment.
