Quality Control Civil/Structural Inspector

ZACHRY is currently accepting applications for a Quality Control Civil/Structural Inspector for new construction work in Gregory TX. Assists management in establishing project requirements for selecting the proper procedures and techniques for project quality control in the civil/structural segment of the project. Assists in training and testing craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures. Perform rebar, form, concrete, earthwork structural steel inspections throughout the site to ensure the quality of the work conform to the project specifications and governing codes. Must have 5+ years experience as a Civil Journeyman/Structural Journeyman. Must have extensive knowledge of concrete, rebar, underground activities, foundation, structural and construction materials, and processes used for each activity.
Responsibilities

• Reviews project requirements, determine minimal requirements and procedures, schedules and coordinates required examinations, inspections, or tests for the discipline or project segment assigned to.
• Performs examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project management and/or client/owner.
• Coordinates training, craft testing, and/or trains personnel regarding required construction procedures and proper use of tools, instruments, etc.
• Provides technical assistance to project management in selecting optimum construction procedures and/or techniques to meet project specifications.
• Provides technical assistance to project management regarding selecting tools, instruments, and test equipment to assist in the project quality control effort.
• Assists project management in selecting and/or testing personnel to perform specific work activities to ensure work meets project requirements.
• Schedules examinations, inspections, or tests as required by the project.
• Coordinates examination, inspection, and test plans with project management and client representatives.
• Completes and maintains inspection, test, examination, and Quality Control Records.
• Assures implementation of job site Q.C. Program.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
Computer Competency (Microsoft Office, I-Docs, Co-Console) Database experience
Craft competencies in any of the crafts
Civil and UG Work, Structural, Buildings
Piping and Mechanical
Electrical and Instrumentation
Required Qualifications:
Understand the QA/QC inspection process - QMP and related QA/QC documentation requirements such as ITPs, ITR's, Procedures
Coordinate with craft and planners in the and assembly of turnover packages
Review of signed-off QA/QC forms for completeness and accuracy of the information and ensure all required signatures have been captured
Ensure the electronic version of all required documentation is compiled and saved in the appropriate drive folders and databases
Audit hardcopy documentation and electronic files
Monitor and keep updated on the progress of systems and subsystems
Prepare reports on the status of turnover systems
Ensure Subcontractor's ITRS meet or exceed Exxon A-Check Sheet (ITRS)
Other duties as assigned
