Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages all personnel within the Quality Department, including such functions as staffing, evaluating, transfer, promotions, and discipline as per company policy and applicable laws.
Purpose: Overall responsibility for all functions related to the quality of the product produced and services provided. Company representative to customers and suppliers in regards to quality.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Develops, implements and oversees quality plans and strategies for the plant
• Company representative to customers and suppliers in regards to quality
• Assists in developing and planning budgets related to quality
• Monitors the quality of manufactured products and assume responsibility for product quality and reliability
• Manages all personnel within the Quality Department, including such functions as staffing, evaluating, transfer, promotions, and discipline as per company policy
• Responsible for coordinating training within the Quality Department
• Works with all departments to support production activities
• Determines necessary workforce needed to accomplish quality requirements
• Provide ongoing analysis of the QMS utilizing C/A, P/A, Customer Satisfaction, PPM measurements, etc.
• Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• Four year college degree in a related field
• Four or more years in a manufacturing environment, along with a minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• APICS, ASQC, AME, SME or other related professional organizational involvement
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be able to vary work hours to meet requirements
• Ability and experience working with blueprints and small lettering on prints and computer monitors
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to interface with customers and suppliers in a team approach to resolve issues and strengthen relationships
• Demonstrated experience working effectively with stress and pressure
• Demonstrated ability to deal with complex problem solving and simplification
• Demonstrated ability to apply Lean Manufacturing tools: Mistake-Proofing, Waste Elimination

• Reference OJT
