Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager



The Quality Assurance (QA) and Compliance Manager develops and implements strategies to ensure products and services meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations, overseeing internal quality systems, audits, and inspections, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include developing compliance policies, managing audit schedules, investigating compliance issues, preparing for regulatory inspections, providing training, and reporting on quality metrics to senior management. The Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager will cover RHD Iowa, RHD North Carolina, and Wake Enterprises. This role will be responsible for all aspects of accreditation (CARF and CQL), ACT fidelity, licensure regulations, compliance and re-licensing, as well as, incidents and investigations. This role may have some reporting to other departments such as QA, Incident Management, and others as necessary.

Section 3: Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and external audit programs, including supplier monitoring, to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, and keep quality systems updated to reflect changes in laws and industry standards.
  • Investigate and address non-compliance issues.
  • Prepare reports on quality metrics and compliance performance for senior management.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards, policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of professionals.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant quality systems and regulatory requirements within the specific industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and complex problems to make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to provide guidance, report on performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Process Improvement: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate issues, develop recommendations, and implement action plans.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree,
  • Five years of IDD experience
