Job Description

Pay is up to £600 per week CLEAR /AFTER TAX . This will be after a 4 week period of probation.

Overtime, (if required) is paid at £20 per hour clear / after tax.

We require a qualified mechanic / technician in our independent local garage in Hamilton, close to the town centre (3 minute walk to Hamilton central train and bus station).

The majority of our work is general servicing, MOT repair work, and diagnostics to cars and small commercial vehicles.

Applicants will be required to work independently and to a high standard. MOT card would be a benefit but not essential.

This will only be agreed after a short trial period.

All employees MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TOOLS, and be punctual .

Hours are 8:30-5:30 Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, exhaust replacement, tyre fitting, clutch replacement, and brakes, steering, suspension components.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
