Job Title: Quality Control Scientist
Location: 2000 Rockford Road, Charles City, IA
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Position Overview:
The QC Scientist will perform testing and analysis of in-process and finished product samples to ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory standards, and internal quality specifications. This individual will work collaboratively with manufacturing and quality teams to maintain testing schedules, document results accurately, and support laboratory operations in a clean and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct analytical and microbiological testing of samples from manufacturing to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Perform pipetting, sample preparation, and reagent/media preparation in accordance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols.

Maintain laboratory testing schedules, monitor reagent and supply inventory, and ensure all documentation complies with cGMP and Zoetis Quality Standards.

Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Perform media fill inspections and routine environmental monitoring activities.

Utilize laboratory software systems, including MODA EM, zLIMS/SAP, and other QC applications.

Support laboratory investigations (LIRs) and assist in minor project-related activities.

Follow all applicable Safety and Quality procedures to ensure a compliant, contamination-free work environment.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related scientific discipline .

Prior laboratory experience in a cGMP-regulated or pharmaceutical setting desirable.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working knowledge of laboratory software systems (MODA EM, LIMS, SAP) is an asset.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
