JOB SUMMARY
Performs any combination of the following tasks to inspect printed circuit boards, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and products.
- May utilize gauge, micrometers, vernier calipers, pin gauges to verify conformance to specified dimensions.
- Examines PCB circuitry to detect defects according to IPC-610 Class 3.
- Willing to learn and operate AOI Inspection equipment.
- Verifies components to BOM’s and Visual Aids.
- Verifies proper placement of components and solder per IPC Specifications
- Verifies compliance with prints, schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Accepts and or rejects product, documenting the results.
- Ensures that the revision level is correct, that Engineering Changes have been implemented as required and that previous operations have been completed prior to release to shipping.
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work.
- Inspects components to ensure that the machines placed the correct value part in the appropriate location.
- Maintains a clean, neat and orderly area.

Decisions: Under minimal supervision, works alone or as part of a team making recommendations and decisions in support of ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS
- Knowledge of electro/mechanical industry specifications related to IPC 610 Standards for assembly, solder, and repair.
- Completion of Inspection reports, ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, and other product documentation as provided.
- Good communications both written and verbal.
- IPC-610 Certified .
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- You can exercise independent judgment. Creativity and good judgement are required.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience with IPC-610 standards.
