The execution of QA/QC Techniques to ascertain conditioning monitoring of components as directed by Supervisors. Report findings within approved formats ensuring compliance with Oceaneering procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
- Execute QA/QC techniques as listed below.
- Ad-hoc QA/QC inspections as directed by Supervisors.
- Produce detailed reports showing the areas of QA/QC and the results obtained
- Support QA/QC inspection programs.
- Ensure all QA/QC Testing and Reporting requirements complies with Oceaneering procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and complies with Oceaneering procedures.
- Ensure all mandatory assigned training modules are completed within a timely manner.
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with Oceaneering Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
- Responsible for carrying out inspections of materials, parts, products and assemblies, and welds to detect surface defects, corrosion, misalignment, and other issues, as well as associated documentation.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of inspection reports.
- Ensure that all existing work routines, practices, procedures and systems are followed.
- Receiving control; process and final control.
- Perform dimensional checks and visual verifications.
- Approve the quality of machined parts and assemblies according to acceptance criteria.
- Review of technical documentation accompanying products/components, for example, measurement reports, material certificates, declarations of conformity, welding/NDT reports.
- Develop and maintain inspection plans according to requirements.
- Assist various professionals and departments in technical control tasks, guidance, and training.
- Control and verification of calibrated equipment in accordance with requirements.
- Report and process deviations/Non-Conformances.
- Author and contribute to the improvement of our processes, strategies and procedures
- Document own work, as well as assist with periodic reports.
- Support delivery of training initiatives as and when required.
- Coordinate with other teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure adherence to quality standards and address any issues that may arise.
- Monitor the review, distribution, and revision of procedures and processes
- Conduct root cause analysis for internal and client-raised non-conforming items.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions until unsatisfactory conditions are rectified.
- Review work-packs for compliance with the necessary technical codes and standards (API, ASME, client standards).
NON-ESSENTIAL

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
- Previous experience in a QA&QC technical inspector role
- API-570, API-510, API-653, API-936.
- Has over 5 years’ experience as VT inspector in LNG, Gas processing, Major oil refinery or petrochemical plant.
- Preference for candidate holding BSC in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- CSWIP 3.1. Minimum of 7 years’ experience as authorized welding inspector in major oil/gas refinery, LNG, gas processing or petrochemical plant
DESIRED
- Preference for candidate holding BSC in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering, HND or the equivalent, in QA&QC
- Bachelor’s degree in QA&QC
- Recognised qualification in welding / fabrication processes or similar experience.
- Recognised Qualifications in Non-Destructive Testing practices or similar proven experience.
- Sound understanding of material and manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Flange management process
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Windows based programs
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible approach and ability to generate a team approach to problem solving
- Good communicator both written and verbal
- Fluent in reading and writing English
Working Conditions
This position is considered ONSHORE which is characterized as follows:
- Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water
- Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment
- Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels
- Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
- Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
- Work surface is stable, height is elevated.
