Job Description

A leading financial services firm urgently require an experienced QA Engineer to support critical projects across Back Office, Middle Office and Regulatory Finance.


You’ll be the centralised QA Engineer within the team, ensuring robust testing of data-heavy financial and risk systems. The team have a number of critical deadlines that need to be hit - you will play a crucial role in the automation of the testing processes and ensuring best testing standards and practices are upheld.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver QA testing across Back Office, Middle Office, and Finance functions.
  • Support prudential regime and regulatory finance projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform detailed testing of data transformations, calculations, and aggregation processes.
  • Build and manage test packs, moving from manual to automated regression testing over time.
  • Collaborate with BAs, Developers, and Risk/Finance teams to ensure end-to-end coverage.
  • Document test results, issues, and recommendations clearly for stakeholders.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer in fast paced, technology‑driven environments.
  • Strong expertise in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and cloud platforms.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated experience modernising legacy QA systems and driving organisational change
  • Background in finance or risk functions, with exposure to regulatory or prudential regimes highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, transformations, and calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to navigate complex data lineage and dependencies.
  • Background in agile methodologies and test‑driven development (TDD/BDD).
