Job Description

Project Developer PV/BESS Eastern Germany ♻

We are currently working with a rapidly growing platform focused on developing renewable energy projects across several European markets, including Southern, Central, and Eastern Europe. Backed by a leading pan-European infrastructure investor, they are committed to accelerating the energy transition and making a meaningful, long-term contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions.

Location: Eastern Germany

Your responsibilities:

• Lead development of ground-mounted solar and battery energy storage projects from site search to construction readiness.
• Identify, assess, and secure suitable project locations.
• Manage rezoning, land-use planning, and permitting processes.
• Coordinate with grid operators to obtain capacity, connection, and compatibility information.
• Ensure projects meet all technical, legal, and economic requirements.

Land Acquisition

• Support the search, evaluation, and securing of land.
• Prepare and conduct negotiations with landowners in coordination with legal.
• Present projects and engage in negotiations with municipalities.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with authorities, grid operators, municipalities, planners, consultants, and other partners.
• Manage external consultants and development partners.

Commercial Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets and reporting (with management support).
• Assist with financing processes and PPA negotiations.

Your Profile:

• Degree in engineering, environmental or energy studies, industrial engineering, or similar field.
• Experience developing renewable energy projects and strong industry network.
• Solid understanding of relevant legal, technical, and regulatory requirements.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working approach.
• Strong negotiation skills and confident communication style.
