Purchasing Specialist in Sarasota

Job Description: Organize and control purchasing operations related to raw materials, replacement parts, auxiliary supplies and other items needed for the business.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read, understand, and communicate in English
• Previous experience in a purchasing role in a manufacturing setting
• Experience in MS Office Suite programs, ERP systems such as QuickBooks
• Detail oriented with strong communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities:

• Set and maintain stock levels for all supplies
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal price, quality, and delivery terms
• Evaluate vendors for quality and delivery performance
• Source new parts for R&D and facility needs
• Work closely with the Quality Management department to ensure our vendors and materials comply with regulatory requirements

Relationships : The Purchasing Specialist reports to the Vice President. The position works closely with the R&D, Production, and Quality teams to evaluate vendors and procure new supplies as needed.

Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:30a-5:00p

Pay: $23/hr+ based on previous experience
