Purchasing Specialist/Project Manager

Project Managers are responsible for providing program support through the sales and program life cycle. The candidate will be required to support our sales and purchasing team to make supply chain decisions from the onset of a request for quote to the conclusion of the order.
The candidate will be required to utilize the company’s ERP system to provide real time information to key account customers and track orders to document on time performance.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
o Process customer requests and help prepare competitive quotations based on deadlines.
o Interface with Program Management to assure compliance to customer orders as necessary
o Determining supply chain source to purchase from (sourcing)
o Submit and follow up on request for quotations to our supply chain.
o Data entry of vendor quotes and customer quotes
o Reviewing the sales order for accuracy after it is generated in ERP system
o track status on open quotations
o Escalate issues which cannot be easily resolved
o Resolve pricing and delivery issues with purchase orders as they arise
o Follow all relevant QMS (Quality Management System) Procedures and Work Instructions
Qualifications:
• Prior material sourcing and vendor interaction
• MS office suite proficient, advanced Excel proficiency level desired
• Focused, motivated and organized individual
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Detail oriented and great degree of communications skills
• Prior use of Pentagon 2000 a plus but not required

Preference will be made to candidates with prior experience in the Defense industry.
