Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Oxnard, CA, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. This role oversees day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, requesting and reviewing quotes, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders for materials and services. The Purchasing Manager will maintain vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of parts and components aligned with aerospace quality standards. Additional responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, coordinating with engineering and operations teams to understand material requirements, reconciling purchasing documentation, and supporting cost-saving initiatives and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications

  • Experience with purchasing and procurement processes, including supplier sourcing, quotation review, and purchase order management.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills to maintain reliable supply chains.
  • Ability to analyze pricing, lead times, and inventory data to support cost control and timely material availability.
  • Proficiency with purchasing or ERP software, spreadsheets, and basic data reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of aerospace or manufacturing environments, including familiarity with quality standards and regulatory considerations, is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in purchasing.
