Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Purchasing Manager to join our client (Automotive Tier 1). This role is pivotal in shaping procurement excellence, driving supplier development, and ensuring strategic alignment across indirect and direct purchasing globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage indirect procurement programs, processes, and supplier networks.
• Oversee category management, supplier development, and supplier quality initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on component development, particularly within electrical and ADAS functions.
• Ensure robust processes, procedures, systems, and analytics are embedded into purchasing operations.
• Partner with controlling and finance teams to align procurement decisions with budget and cost targets.
• Drive continuous improvement, risk management, and supplier innovation in alignment with global standards.
• Lead and develop a team of purchasing professionals across global regions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in both indirect and direct purchasing.
• Proven track record in automotive or technology industries.
• Strong background in program management and operational purchasing.
• Experience in supplier quality, category management, and supplier development.
• Familiarity with ADAS functions and electrical components is a strong advantage.
• Skilled in controlling, process design, systems, and analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with ability to lead multicultural, cross-functional teams in a global environment.
